Judgment : Heard both sides. 2. The petitioner made a representations, dated 20.02.2014 and 05.05.2014 to the first respondent / Chief Executive Officer, Tamil Nadu Wakf Board, Chennai, praying for speedy conclusion of the proceedings initiated under Sections 54 & 55 of the Wakf Act 1995, in respect of the Wakf lands in Survey No.264/18 & 264/19 in Palkullam Village, Maravamangalam, Sivagangai District. Till date the said representations have not met with a positive response from the side of the first respondent. 3. In view of the limited relief sought for by the petitioner in the writ petition, viz., for passing an order by this Court in directing the first respondent to conclude the proceedings initiated under Sections 54 & 55 of the Wakf Act, 1995, this Court in the interest of justice and fair play directs the first respondent to look into the representations of the petitioner, dated 20.02.2014 and 05.05.2014 in a fair, free, impartial and dispassionate manner and to dispose of the same by passing a reasoned and speaking order on merits within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order. (Of course after providing due opportunity to the petitioner and others concerned by following the principles of natural justice in true letter and spirit). 4. With the above direction, the Writ Petition stands disposed of. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed. No costs.
