Judgment Heard. This petition in the nature of pro bono publico has been preferred by the petitioner seeking the following reliefs: “It is therefore, most humbly prayed that the writ petition may kindly be allowed and the respondents be directed to remove the encroachment from the Government land bearing survey No.2899 and 2900 situated at Gohad District Bhind, respondents be also directed to conduct a demarcation of the aforesaid land and the respondents be also further directed not to allow any person to raise construction over the land in question at any cost. Any other writ, order or direction as this Hon'ble Court may deems fit in the facts and circumstances of the case be granted. Costs be awarded.” 2. Grievance of the petitioner in this public interest litigation is that certain persons have made encroachment over the Government land bearing survey No.2899 and 2900 situated at Gohad District Bhind. It is further submitted that Tahsildar has issued the direction to take appropriate steps, however, no step 2 W.P. No.2629/2014 (PIL) has been taken by the authority. 3. In this view of the matter, this petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No.2/collector to take appropriate steps and also enquire whether there is any encroachment over the Government land or not as alleged by the petitioner in this petition after adopting due process of law. On such enquiry, if it is found that there is encroachment, he shall take appropriate steps to remove it. 4. It is clarified that this Court has not opined about merits of the matter.
