ORDER : After hearing Shri Harish N. Salve, learned senior counsel, Shri L. Nageshwar Rao, learned Additional Solicitor General, Shri Prashant Bhushan, learned counsel and Dr. Rajeev Dhawan, learned senior counsel appearing for the parties, we are of the opinion that in Writ Petition (C) 398 of 2010 and Writ Petition (C) No. 16 of 2011, primarily, the following issues would arise for our consideration and decision which are formulated as under : (i) Right to privacy vis-a-vis the Government; (ii) Right to privacy vis-a-vis the Press; and (iii) Right to know the information. 2. The issue with regard to the criminality or illegality in awarding various contracts etc. to the private parties which has surfaced in the recorded conversations between various persons will be taken up after the completion of hearing of the aforementioned three issues before us. 3. The Registry is directed to keep the report submitted by the Central Bureau of Investigation in sealed covers and further not to open those sealed covers without the leave of the Court. 4. List the matters on 26.08.2014, 27.08.2014 and 28.08.2014.
