JUDGMENT Heard Mr. B. D. Goswami, learned for the petitioners and Mr. A. Deka, learned Standing Counsel, Education, appearing for the respondents. This contempt petition arises out of an interim order passed by the writ Court on 31.07.2008. Admittedly, the writ petition out of which this contempt petition arises i.e. WP(C) No.5525 of 2007 is pending for its disposal. In the situation like the one, at this stage, I do not wish to entertain this contempt application and grant liberty to the petitioners to make an appropriate application for grant of appropriate relief either in the nature of modification of the interim order or otherwise for grant of any interim relief and also at the same time pray for final disposal of the writ petition because the same is pending since 2007 by the appropriate writ Court. With these observations and liberty, this contempt application is disposed of without making any observation on the merits and demerits of the controversy. In case, if any application is filed by the petitioner for grant of any appropriate interim relief for which this contempt application was filed, needless to observe, the writ Court would decide the said application on its own merit strictly in accordance with law and if possible shall also ensure expeditious disposal of the writ petition which is pending since 2007.
