JUDGMENT Hon'ble Dilip Gupta,J. 1. In the petition, which is filed in the public interest, the petitioner seeks to impugn the notice issued by the Staff Selection Commission for the Combined Graduate Level Examinations 2013. 2. The contention of the petitioner is that the age limit which has been prescribed is 18 to 27 years (the candidate should be born not earlier than 2 January 1986 and not later than 1 January 1995). According to the petitioner, a student cannot acquire the graduate qualification at the age of 18 years and hence he seeks an amendment of the minimum age limit to 21 years. 3. The petition proceeds on a fallacy since, as the prayer clause would indicate, the petition postulates that the minimum age limit should be 21 years. The age limit prescribed is 18 to 27 years. The real contention of the petitioner is that if the minimum age requirement is extended to 21 years, the upper age limit would necessarily be extended to 30 years. In our view, the extension in the minimum age limit would not necessarily mean that the maximum age limit would be extended. 4. Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner states that the petitioner would submit a representation before the Staff Selection Commission so as to enable the Commission to reconsider the entire matter at an appropriate stage. Hence, on the request of the learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner, we dispose of the petition by leaving it open to the petitioner to bring his grievance before the Staff Selection Commission for such appropriate action as may be necessary. 5. The writ petition is, accordingly, disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
