JUDGMENT Hon'ble Dilip Gupta,J. 1. In this petition, which has been filed in the public interest, the petitioners have highlighted the grievance of the residents of Ward Nos.4, 14, 21, 22 and 25 of the Nagar Palika Parishad, Haldaur, District Bijnor. 2. It appears from the records that a mini tube-well was constructed by the Nagar Palika Parishad on the side of the road and supply of water has commenced on 15 November 2013. The allegation of the petitioners is that the fourth respondent has submitted a complaint following which, the concerned Lekhpal and Kannongo made enquiries and submitted reports on 23 and 24 January 2014. Consequently, the Tehsildar has directed that the construction should be demolished. The petitioners have submitted a representation to the District Magistrate, Bijnor, on 6 February 2014. 3. We, accordingly, dispose of the petition by directing the District Magistrate to have the grievance of the petitioners looked into and to direct such remedial measures as may be necessary. We clarify that we have not made any observation with regard to the legality of the existing construction since we have left it open to the District Magistrate to take appropriate measures in accordance with law expeditiously. The petition is, accordingly, disposed of.
