JUDGMENT Hon'ble Dilip Gupta,J. 1. The grievance of the petitioner is that though application forms have been deposited in June 2013 for issuance of fresh ration cards with the District Supply Officer, Ballia, the applications have still not been dealt with, as a result of which, ration cards have not been issued. 2. We find this to be a fit and proper case for interference in exercise of the writ jurisdiction under Article 226 of the Constitution since the issue relates to supply of food grains to holders of ration cards. 3. We, accordingly, direct the third respondent, namely the District Supply Officer, Ballia, to dispose of the applications in accordance with law expeditiously and on a priority basis. The petition is, accordingly, disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
