JUDGMENT : A.M. Shaffique, J. These Writ Petitions are filed inter alia contending that certain persons have organised a programme under the name and style "Kiss of Love". It is argued that such demonstration in public places violates the culture and tradition of the country and despite the fact that the petitioners have approached the Police authorities for preventing such activities, the Police are not taking any action. 2. The learned Government Pleader, on instructions, would submit that the Police have received only information regarding the conduct of demonstration in Ernakulam Marine Drive. No information is received regarding the programme as stated by the petitioners. However, if there is any illegal activities or obscenity or anything which violates the modesty of the women, the Police shall keep a close watch on the same and take appropriate measures. In view of the above submission of the learned Government Pleader, we do not think that any further direction is required to be passed in the Writ Petition. The Writ Petition is closed.
