JUDGMENT The relief claimed in this petition is to issue direction to the Authority to issue transit pass to the petitioner in respect of the land given to the petitioner under mining lease. The petitioner is free to make this request to the Collector, if already not made. The Collector shall decide the claim of the petitioner within one week from the date of receipt of such request and, if already pending, the same be decided within one week from the date of receipt of copy of this order either from the petitioner or through the Registry of this Court, whichever is earlier. We make it clear that the Collector shall decide the said request on its own merits, in accordance with law; and this order may not be construed as having issued direction to the Collector to grant such transit pass. Disposed of accordingly.
