Judgment 1. Mr. M. Muniyasamy, learned Standing Counsel takes notice for the respondents and by consent of both the parties, the main writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission. 2. Heard the learned Counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents. 3. In this writ petition the petitioner seeks for a Writ of Mandamus to direct the second respondent to consider his representation dated 20.02.2014, and to permit him to join duty as a Shop Supervisor in the respondents Corporation. 4. It is the case of the petitioner that though he was issued with a charge memo on 28.08.2014, he was not suspended and on the other hand the second respondent has prevented the petitioner from attending the duty. According to the petitioner he sustained grievous injury all over the body and he was admitted in the hospital in a fire accident when he was attempting to save his wife from committing suicide by self immolation. 5. The learned Counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner was not at all suspended and therefore he is entitled to continue his service. 6. Therefore, the second respondent is directed to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 20.02.2014 and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
