Judgment : N. Paul Vasantha kumar, C.J. 1. This appeal is filed by the State against the order passed by the learned Single Judge dated 03.05.2013 wherein the learned Single Judge has given directions to the appellants to provide security to the petitioner on permanent basis in the State of Jammu and Kashmir. The prayer made in the writ petition is for issuance of directions in the nature of writ of mandamus commanding the respondents to provide necessary security to the petition in view of the severe threat to his life during his visit in the State of J&K as he is the Vice Chancellor of Sai Nath University. 2. Since the prayer made in the writ petition was to provide security cover to the petitioner during his visit in the State of J&K, this appeal is disposed of by modifying the order of learned Single Judge holding that the petitioner shall intimate in advance about his visit in the J&K State and on such intimation, the appellants shall provide security to him. 3. So far as the prayer made by the learned counsel for the petitioner with regard to providing of security cover to the family members of the petitioner is concerned, it is for the family members of the petitioner to approach the authority concerned.
