JUDGMENT : 1. Mr. A. Jeyaram, learned Counsel takes notice for the first and second respondent. Mr. R. Anandha Raj, learned Government Advocate takes notice for the third respondent and by consent of both the parties, the main Writ Petition itself is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission. 2. Heard the learned Counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents 1 and 2 and the learned Government Advocate appearing for the third respondent. 3. In this writ petition, the petitioner is seeking for a Writ of Mandamus to direct the second respondent to refer him to appear before the Medical Board of the third respondent Hospital, to get report as to suitability of him to do the job of Driver and consequently to provide alternative employment of helper on regular basis based on the report of the Medical Board. 4. It is stated that the petitioner was working as a Driver in the respondent Corporation. He further stated that he was affected with the paralytic stroke and consequently admitted in the hospital on 20.07.2012 and took treatment up to 29.01.2014. Thus, it is stated that though the respondent provided an alternative employment as Helper, such employment is treated only as temporary and therefore, the petitioner seeks for making the said alternative employment as permanent on regular basis by referring him to the Medical Board to assess his disability and to provide alternative employment. Such representation was made on 24.02.2015, and the same is still pending. 5. The learned Counsel appearing for the respondent Corporation has no objection for referring the petitioner to the Medical Board of the third respondent Hospital. 6. Considering the above said facts and circumstances, I only direct the respondents 1 and 2 to refer the petitioner to the Medical Board of third respondent Hospital, to assess his disability and to pass appropriate orders after getting the Certificate from the third respondent Hospital. Such exercise shall be done by the respondents 1 and 2 within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 7. Accordingly, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs. Consequently, the connected Miscellaneous petitions are closed.
