Judgment : Mansoor Ahmad Mir, J. Only a meager amount of Rs.55,000/- came to be awarded to the claimant-injured in terms of award, dated 31.08.2006, made by the Motor Accident Claims Tribunal, Hamirpur, H.P. (for short "the Tribunal") in Claim Petition No. 52 of 2005, titled as Khem Raj versus Sh. Sandeep Chauhan and another (for short "the impugned award"). 2. It is shocking that such a reputed Insurance Company has questioned the impugned award on the ground of adequacy of awarded amount, which is trivial. 3. However, I have gone through the award, which is reasonable and needs no interference. Accordingly, the impugned award is upheld and the appeal is dismissed. 4. Registry is directed to release the deposited amount in favour of the claimant strictly as per the terms and conditions contained in the impugned award through payee's account cheque. 5. Send down the record after placing copy of the judgment on Tribunal's file.
