Judgment 1. Mr. N.S. Karthikeyan, learned Additional Government Pleader, takes notice for the respondent. With the consent of both the parties, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself. 2. The prayer in the writ petition is for issuance of a writ of mandamus to direct the respondent to take appropriate action to measure and demarcate the following properties, situated at Nathapatty Village, Vedasanthur Taluk, Dindigul District, based on the petitioner's representation, dated 31.03.2015: Sl. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that it would be suffice if the representation of the petitioner, dated 31.03.2015, is disposed of on merits and in accordance with law within a time stipulated by this Court. 4. The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondent has no objection in considering the request of the petitioner. 5. The issue on hand is with regard to measure and demarcate the above stated properties. In this regard, the petitioner has already approached the authorities by way of a representation ventilating his grievances. But, the same is still kept pending. Therefore, without going into the merits of the claim made by the petitioner, the respondent is directed to intimate the petitioner the amount to be remitted by him for the purpose of measuring and demarcating the land and on such payment by the petitioner, the respondent is directed to measure and demarcate the aforesaid properties, by considering the representation of the petitioner, dated 31.03.2015, on merits and in accordance with law, after giving notice to the adjoining owners, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 6. With the above observations, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
