Judgment : N. Paul Vasantha kumar, C.J. 1. This appeal is filed against the judgment and order dated 07.11.2001 made in OWP No.1239/1999 wherein the learned Single Judge, taking note of the 20% disability of the petitioner, ordered disability pension in favour of the respondent with interest at the rate of 6%. It was further directed that the arrears be calculated and paid to the respondent within a period of four months. It was made clear that in case the pension is not released within the aforesaid period, the respondent shall be entitled to interest @ 15 per cent. 2. During the pendency of the appeal, respondent died on 09.01.2012. 3. Learned counsel for the appellants produced order, sanctioning family pension to the widow of the respondent. 4. In view of the death of the respondent and the fact that the family pension is sanctioned to the widow of the respondent, nothing survives in the appeal, which stands dismissed.
