Judgment : N. Paul Vasanthakumar, C.J. 1. This contempt petition is filed for non-compliance of order dated 23.11.2013 made in LPASW No. 128/2005. 2. During the pendency of the contempt petition, by order dated 16.04.2015 Director, Consumer Affairs and Public Distribution, Jammu and Assistant Director, CAPD Kishtwar were directed to appear in person and the matter was posted for today. 3. The Director, CAPD Jammu has filed the compliance report stating that the Chief Accounts Officer CAPD Jammu vide order dated 17.04.2015 accorded sanction to release of funds on account of pending wages of the petitioners. It is further stated in the compliance report that the Directorate had informed the concerned Assistant Director CAPD Kishtwar regarding the sanction of required amount of Rs.12.21 lac with a request to the Treasury Officer District Treasury Kishtwar to release the wages of the petitioners immediately and Assistant Director CAPD Kishtwar forwarded the bills regarding the pending wages of the petitioners to the District Treasury Officer Kishtwar with a request to pass the bills on priority basis. 4. Learned counsel for the respondents gave assurance to this Court that the amount payable to the petitioners will be paid within a period of two weeks. The said statement is recorded and the contempt proceedings are closed. It is made clear that if the amount is not paid to the petitioners within the aforesaid period, it is open to the petitioners to bring the same to the notice of this Court and the same will be viewed seriously.
