Judgment 1. The prayer in the Writ Petition is for a writ of Mandamus to direct the first respondent, namely, the District Collector, Sivagangai District, Sivagangai to consider the petitioner's representation, dated 11.10.2014 regarding illicit cutting of trees and destroying the channel by the fourth respondent herein. 2. Mr. S.Chandrasekar, learned Government Advocate takes notice for the respondents. 3. By consent, the writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal. 4. The learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner submitted that it would suffice if the representation of the petitioner is disposed of, on merits and in accordance with law, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court. 5. In view of the limited scope of the prayer and in view of the fact that the first and the second respondent has already seized of the matter through their communications dated 07.05.2014 and 13.05.2014 respectively, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the issued involved, the third respondent is directed to cause a notice to the fourth respondent against whom the compliant is made and pass appropriate orders on the representation of the petitioner dated 11.10.2014 on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 6. With the above direction, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
