JUDGMENT K. RAVICHANDRABAABU, J. 1. Mr. V. Muruganandam, learned Additional Government Pleader takes notice for the respondents 1 to 3 and by consent of both the parties, the main writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal. 2. Heard the learned Counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents. 3. The petitioner seeks for a Writ of Mandamus to direct the respondents to permit the petitioner to quarry rough stone/jelly/gravel over an extend of 1.14.5 Hects of Patta land in Survey No. 782/1 in Kadyamperumpathu Village, Ambasamudram Taluk, Tirunelveli District till the disposal of renewal application dated 20.01.14 as per Rule 24-A of Mines and Mineral Development Rules 1960. It is stated by the petitioner that the lease granted to the petitioner is going to expire on 23.01.2015 and the petitioner has made an application on 23.01.2014 itself seeking for renewal of lease. According to the petitioner, the said application is still pending. 4. Considering the said fact and without going into the merits of the petitioner, I only direct the second respondent to consider the application of the petitioner dated 23.01.2014 and pass suitable order on merits and in accordance with law on or before 21.01.2015. 5. With the above direction, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous petition is closed.
