Judgment 1. Mr. K.P. Krishnadoss, learned Government Advocate takes notice for the respondents and by consent of both the parties, the main writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission. 2. In this writ petition, the petitioner is seeking for a Writ of Mandamus directing the second respondent to conclude the disciplinary proceedings initiated against him in pursuant to the charge memo dated 25.09.2014. 4. The grievance of the petitioner is that he is going to retire on 31.05.2015 and if the enquiry proceedings are not completed and final order is not passed before such retirement, he would put to severe hardship. 5. The learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents submitted that already Enquiry Officer was appointed and the petitioner was also permitted to pursue the records as requested, which he has not utilized so far. 6. Considering the fact that the petitioner is going to retire on 31.05.2015, and that already an Enquiry Officer was appointed to conduct the disciplinary proceedings, the writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the second respondent to conclude the disciplinary proceedings and pass final orders on or before 30.04.2015. It is also made clear that the petitioner should co-operate with enquiry proceedings without protracting the same by one reason or other. No costs. Consequently, the connected Miscellaneous petition is closed.
