Judgment 1. Mr. S. Kumar, learned Additional Government Pleader takes notice for the respondents and by consent of both the parties, the main writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission. 2. Heard the learned Counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents. 3. In this writ petition, the petitioner is seeking for a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents 1 and 2 to include his name in the panel list for the period 2013-2014 vide G.O.Ms.No.907 Home (Pol-2) Department dated 05.12.2014 for promotion to the post of Deputy Superintendent of Police by placing the petitioner in an appropriate place and promote him as Deputy Superintendent of Police on par with his juniors with all benefits. 4. According to the petitioner his name is to be included in the panel list during the year 2013-2014 for promotion to the post of the Deputy Superintendent of Police. 5. Whether the claim of the petitioner is correct or not has to be decided only by the respondents 1 and 2 and this Court is not expressing any view, as of now, on the claim made by the petitioner. However, it is stated that the petitioner has made a representation on 10.12.2014, seeking to include his name in the panel list and the said representation is still pending. 6. Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of only with a direction to the respondents 1 and 2 to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 10.12.2014 and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Consequently, the connected Miscellaneous petition is closed. No costs.
