JUDGMENT Manoj Kumar Gupta, J. The only relief claimed in the petition is for a direction to the trial Court to expedite the proceedings in Matrimonial Case No. 17 of 2013. 2. The case referred to above has been filed by the petitioner against the second respondent for dissolution of the marriage dated 9 July 2011. The parties are hindus and the petition has purportedly been filed under the provisions of the Hindu Marriage Act, 1955. A perusal of the order sheet reveals that the defendant therein had appeared and is contesting the proceedings. 3. Section 21-B of the Hindu Marriage Act specifically provides that all proceedings under the Act should be held on a day to day basis and effort should be made to conclude the proceedings as far as possible within six months from the date of service of the petition on the respondent. In view of the aforesaid provisions under the Act, I am of the opinion that no further direction is required. 4. The petition is accordingly disposed of.
