Judgment 1. The petitioner seeks for a Writ of Mandamus to direct the first respondent to settle the terminal benefits of Rs.5,39,410.75 (Rupees Five Lakhs Thirty Nine Thousand Four Hundred and Ten and Paise Seventy Five only). 2. According to the petitioner, the said amount is still due and payable to him and therefore, he made a representation on 21.07.2014, seeking for disbursing of the said amount. 3. On the other hand, the fourth respondent filed a counter affidavit and stated that there is no amount due to the petitioner and that certain adjustments were made in his account based upon the consent given by him. However, it is an admitted fact that till this date, the second respondent who is the competent authority has not passed any order on the representation of the petitioner. 4. Therefore, without expressing any view on the merits and the contentions raised in the writ petition, this writ petition is disposed of, only with a direction to the second respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner on 21.07.2014 and pass orders on the same and in accordance with law within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
