Judgment 1. This Writ Petitionhas been filed praying for a Writ of Mandamus to direct the third and the fourth respondents to furnish the necessary medical reports concerned to the death of the petitioner's mother namely Karuppayee Ammal who died on 26.09.2012 at GovernmentRajaji Hospital, Maduraito the first respondent and consequently direct the first respondent to issue the death certificate of the petitioner's mother namely Karuppayee Ammal to her based on her applications dated 31.10.2012 and 12.12.2012. 2. Mr.Prabhu Ramachandran, learned Standing Counsel takes notice for the first respondent and Mr.K.Guru, learned Additional Government Pleader takes notice for the respondents 2 to 4. 3. By consent, these writ petitions are taken up for final disposal. 4. According to the petitioner, her mother died in a suspicious manner, for which, a case has been registered in Crime No.264 of 2012 on the file of the fourth respondent police. Thereafter, he filed a Criminal Original Petition in Crl.O.P.(MD).No.2198 of 2014 seeking a direction to transfer the investigation from the file of the fourth respondent police to any other competent investigating agencies. However, no further development has taken place in this regard. In the meanwhile, the Madurai Corporation has refused to issue a death certificate to the petitioner on the ground that the relevant report for issuing the death certificate has not come from the police and medical authorities. 5. When the matter is taken-up, today, the Inspector of Police, is present before this Court. The learned Government Advocate submitted that necessary medical report as required by the first respondent would be sent to them shortly, apart from giving a copy to the petitioner herein. He further pointed out the viscera report has also been received from the medical authorities and they are taking necessary steps in the investigation. 6. In view of the above submission, the third and the fourth respondents are directed to send the medical reports to the first respondent within a period of three weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. On receipt of the same, the first respondent is directed to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 20.12.2013 and provide an opportunity to the petitioner to enable him to produce necessary documents to substantiate his claim before the first respondent and pass appropriate orders within a period of two weeks, thereafter. 7.
