ORDER Mr. D. Muruganandam, learned Additional Government Pleader, takes notice for the respondents. By consent, the writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal. 2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents. 3. The writ petition has been filed, seeking a direction to the respondents to consider the representation to provide necessary police protection for the "Mulaippari Procession" on 16.10.2015 in pursuant to the 48th year Urchava Vizha festival of Arulmigu Sree Muthmariamman Koil, situated at Ashok Nagar, Anumar Nagar, Packianathapuram, Thathaneri, Madurai Town, by considering the petitioner's representation dated 30.09.2015. 4. The petitioner has given a representation on 30.09.2015 to the respondents, for police protection to conduct the "Mulaippari Procession" on 16.10.2015 and since the same has not been considered so far, he has come up with the present petition for the relief stated supra. 5. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, the 2nd respondent is directed to consider the representation given by the petitioner dated 30.09.2015 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of seven days from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 6. The Writ Petition stands disposed of in the above terms. No costs. No costs.
