Judgment 1. Mr.S.Kumar, learned Additional Government Pleader takes notice for the respondents and by consent of both the parties, the main writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission. 2. Heard the learned Counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents. 3. Though this writ petition is filed to challenge the panel list dated 29.09.2014, prepared for promotion to the post of Superintendents/Sub-Treasury Officer and with consequential directions to the respondents to give promotion to the post of Accountant with effect from the date when it was due retrospectively and thereby include his name in the appropriate place in the panel of Accountant for promotion to the post of Superintendent, the learned Counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner would be satisfied if the appeal preferred by him on 27.11.2014 as against the panel of promotion prepared on 29.11.2014 is directed to be considered at an early date. 4. It is seen that the panel for promotion to the post of Sub-Treasury Officers/Superintendents in Category-4 of Tamil Nadu Treasuries and Accounts Subordinate Service for the year 2013-2014, was prepared on 29.09.2014, and the authorities have permitted the affected persons, if any, to file an appeal against the non- inclusion of their names in the said panel within three months from the date of publication of the said list. 5. The grievance of the petitioner is that even though the petitioner has made an appeal, aggrieved against the non-inclusion of his name, on 27.11.2014, such appeal is not considered so far and on the other hand, the respondents are resorting to make appointments by way of promotion to the post of Sub-Treasury Officers/Superintendents. 6. Considering the above said facts and circumstances, I direct the second respondent to consider the appeal filed by the petitioner dated 27.11.2014 and pass orders on the same on merits and in accordance with law without loss of any further time, however, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 7. Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of. Consequently the connected Miscellaneous petitions are closed. No costs.
