ORDER : The Writ Petition has been praying for a Writ of Certiorari to call for the records relating to the proceedings of the first respondent made in U. Ni. 5/1851/2013 dated 01.06.2015 and quash the same. 2. The petitioner was elected as the President of Venkatramanjuapuram Village Panchayat. The Inspector of Panchayat / the District Collector, Thoothukudi, has initiated proceedings under Section 205(1)(a) of the Tamil Nadu Village Panchayats Act alleging that he has caused loss to the petitioner for which the impugned order came to be issued. Challenging the same, the petitioner has preferred the Writ Petition for the relief stated supra. 3. Be that as it may, a perusal of the impugned order would show that it is only a show cause notice calling upon him to give reply to the said show cause notice. Time and again, this Court has held that show cause notice cannot be challenged. Therefore, on the face of it, this Writ Petition is not maintainable and it is liable to be dismissed. 4. In view of the above, the petitioner is directed to send his reply to the show cause notice within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. On receipt of the same, the first respondent is directed to pass appropriate orders, within a period of four weeks from the date of explanation submitted by the petitioner. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
