JUDGMENT The petitioner, by these proceedings under Article 226 of the Constitution, seeks a mandamus for the inclusion of his name in electoral rolls for elections to the Gram Panchayats which are to take place shortly. 2. The learned counsel appearing on behalf of the State Election Commission has stated before the Court that necessary steps would be taken for disposing of such objections or applications as may be received in regard to the correction of electoral rolls for Gram Panchayats until the date fixed for filing of nominations in that election. 3. In this view of the matter, and having due regard to the statement which has been made by the learned counsel appearing on behalf of the State Election Commission, no further directions are necessary. The statement which has been made before the Court shall be duly observed. 4. The petition is, accordingly, disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs. ……………….
