JUDGMENT The jurisdiction of this Court is sought to be invoked for seeking the following reliefs: ?a. a writ, order or direction in the nature of certiorari, quashing the impugned rate list-guidelines in toto or at least to the extent it is applicable to the Urban Area of District Lucknow, contained as Annexure No.1, to this writ petition. b. a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus, commanding the opposite parties to issue a fresh list-guidelines in accordance with the law by removing the defects pointed out in the instant writ petition.? 2. We are emphatically of the view that such matters having a bearing on the revenues of the State are not open to the petitioner to agitate in a public interest litigation. Any aggrieved individual, it is needless to add, would be at liberty to seek recourse to the normal remedies available in law including the jurisdiction of a writ court under Article 226 of the Constitution. 3. The writ petition is, accordingly, dismissed. There shall be no order as to costs. ………………
