ORDER This Writ Petition has been filed seeking for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the respondents to permit the petitioner to use Mike and Box Speaker for conducting the Pasumpon Muthu Ramalingathevar's 108th Guru Pooja vizha on 30.10.2015. 2. The Counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that for the past three years no person has been permitted to use mike-set on the eve of the Gurupooja of Pasumpon Muthramalinga Thevar and Immanuvel Sekar, to maintain peace and public tranquillity. So, when the petitioner seeking permission to put up the mike-set on 08.10.2015, no order has been passed. Hence, the petitioner prays for a direction to the respondents to give permission to use mike-set in Guru pooja. 3. At this juncture, the learned Additional Advocate General appearing for the respondents and produced the order passed by this Court in W.P(MD)Nos.13607, 14198 and 14287 of 2013 dated 10.09.2013, wherein a detailed order has been passed. Referring to paragraph 12' of the above judgment and submits that to maintain peace public tranquillity and to avoid unnecessary clash between communal people, this Court framed certain guidelines. So, on the basis of the above said order only, no one is permitted to use the mike-set and that has been followed from the year 2013 onwards not only for the Pasumpon Muthuramalinga Thevar but also for all the Gurupoojas. Hence, he prays for dismissal of the writ petition. 4. Considering the rival submissions made on either side, and also the guidelines in paragraph 21' of the earlier order of this Court in W.P(MD)Nos.13607, 14198 and 14287 of 2013 dated 10.09.2013, I am of the view that the petitioner has not been given permission to use mike-set while conducting Guru Pooja, to maintain law and order, to prevent the loss of precious lives, injuries to the public, damage to the properties and communal tension. Hence, the writ petition is liable to be dismissed and accordingly, it is, hereby, dismissed. No costs.
