JUDGMENT The reliefs which the petitioner seeks, invoking the jurisdiction in a public interest litigation, are as follows: "i.) Issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus directing the issue the ad-interim mandamus commanding the respondents to include the Nagwa Mauza of village Bhagwanpur either in the limits of Nagar Nigam Varanasi or to provide the status of independent Gram Panchayat and also providing voting right in Panchayat Election. ii.) Issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus directing the respondents to decide the grievances/representation of the petitioner in view of section 11-F of U.P. Panchayat Raj Act, 1947." 2. On 7 November 2015, the State Election Commission has notified the election schedule for holding elections to the Gram Panchayats across the State of Uttar Pradesh. 3. Since the electoral process has already been initiated and having regard to the provisions of Article 243-O of the Constitution, we decline to entertain the petition. Moreover, the results of the elections can always be questioned in accordance with law. Hence, we decline to entertain the petition. 4. The petition is, accordingly, dismissed. There shall be no order as to costs.
