Judgment 1. Mr.D.Muruganandham, learned Additional Government Pleader takes notice for the respondents and by consent of both the parties, the main writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission. 2. Heard the learned Counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents. 3. The petitioner is seeking for a Writ of Mandamus to direct the respondents to settle the retirement benefits of the petitioner's deceased husband namely Irulappa Thevar @ Chinna Thambi, who worked as Village Assistant in Appipatti @ Alagapuri Village, Uthamapalayam Taluk, Theni District to the petitioner by considering her representation dated 17.09.2014. 4. According to the petitioner her husband who worked as Village Assistant for 32 years, died on 02.12.1995 and thus she is entitled to get the retirement benefits. It is also stated that the petitioner filed a civil suit in O.S.No.147 of 2009 on the file of the District Munsif and sought a decree in her favour for disbursing the retirement benefits. It is also stated that the petitioner made a representation 17.09.2014, seeking for the benefit. It is stated that the said representation is still pending. 5. Considering the above said facts and circumstances and without expressing any view on the claim made by the petitioner as of now, I only direct the first respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 17.09.2014 and pass suitable orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 6. Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
