Judgment 1. Mr.S.Kumar, learned Additional Government Pleader takes notice for the respondents and by consent of both the parties, the main writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission. 2. Heard the learned Counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents. 3. In this writ petition, the petitioner is seeking for a Writ of Mandamus to direct the first respondent to dispose of the disciplinary proceeding pending in TDP.No.4/2014, initiated against the petitioner. 4. It is seen that the petitioner was issued with a charge memo dated 16.09.2014, and the disciplinary proceedings in pursuant to the said charge memo is pending before the first respondent. 5. The grievance of the petitioner is that because of the pendency of the disciplinary proceedings, he is not considered for promotion which is otherwise due to him. Therefore, he seeks for early disposal of the disciplinary proceedings. 6. Considering the limited prayer sought for by the petitioner, without expressing any view on the merits and the contentions raised in the writ petition in respect of the charges levelled against the petitioner, this writ petition is disposed of, only with a direction to the first respondent to complete the disciplinary proceedings and pass final orders on the same and in accordance with law within a period of six months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
