Judgment 1. Mr.D.Sivaraman, learned Standing Counsel takes notice for the respondents 1 to 3 and Mr.R.Anandha Raj, learned Government Advocate takes notice for the fourth respondent and by consent of both the parties, the main writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission. 2. Heard the learned Counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents 1 to 3 and the learned Government Advocate appearing for the fourth respondent. 3. In this writ petition, the petitioner is seeking for a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents 1 to 3 to consider the petitioner for the post of reserve Conductor in the second respondent Transport Corporation based on his representation dated 19.12.2014. 4. The grievance of the petitioner is that even though he was called for attending interview held on 18.12.2014, he was not allowed to attend the interview, only on the reason that the petitioner has passed 10th standard through private study and therefore he is not eligible for the post of reserve Conductor. 5. Accordingly, the present writ petition is filed after making a representation on 19.12.2014. After notice in this writ petition Mr.D.Sivaraman, learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents Corporation submitted that the petitioner was called for interview subsequently on 24.12.2014, and he was interviewed on that date and his educational qualification of 10th standard through private study was not considered as disqualification. However, he submitted that the petitioner's case will be considered along with others for the selection to the post of reserve conductor based on other merits and ability. 6. The learned Counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that the above statement made by the respondent Corporation may be recorded and the writ petition may be closed. 7. Recording the said submissions made by the learned Counsel appearing for the respondent, this writ petition is closed. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous petition is also closed. No costs.
