Judgment 1. The prayer in the Writ Petition is for a Writ of Mandamus to direct the respondent to direct the respondent to approve the lease of the building situated on the western side of Kidaivetti Oorani auctioned on 05.06.2013 in favour of the petitioner in accordance with Section 22 of the Tamil Nadu Municipalities Act, 1920 in the light of Resolution No.363 passed by the Council of Ramanathapuram Municipality. 2. Mr. D. Murugandham, learned Additional Government Pleader takes notice for the respondent. 3. By consent, the writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal. 4. The learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner submitted that it would suffice if the representation of the petitioner is disposed of, on merits and in accordance with law, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court. 5. In view of the limited scope of the prayer, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the issue involved, the respondent is directed to pass appropriate orders on the representation of the petitioner dated 04.08.2014 on merits and in accordance with law, after giving notice to the interested parties, if any, within a period of three weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 6. With the above direction, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
