Judgment 1. The petitioner approaches this Court with a prayer to provide protection to the petitioner and his family members based upon his representation dated 20.01.2015. 2. The learned Counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner gave a representation to the first respondent on 20.01.2015 seeking for police protection, but, the second respondent has not taken any effective steps. Hence, the petitioner filed this petition. 3. The learned Government Advocate (criminal side) would submit that they would give police protection to the life and limb of the petitioners and his family members. 4. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and considering the submission made by the learned Government Advocate (criminal side), the respondent police is directed to give police protection to the life and limb of the petitioner and his family members, based on the representation given by the petitioner dated 20.01.2015. With the above observation, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
