Judgment 1. The present writ petition has been filed for Mandamus directing the respondents to consider the petitioner's son for compassionate appointment. 2. It is the case of the petitioner that her husband by name K.Subramanian served as Secretary in the third respondent Co-operative Society and died on 02.08.2013 while he was in service. It is stated that the petitioner as well as her son made applications seeking for compassionate appointment to her son on 06.10.2013 and 08.11.2013. It is further stated that the second respondent has already communicated the third respondent to send proposal. However, the third respondent is yet to send such proposal. 3. Learned Counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that there is a scheme for providing compassionate appointment. 4. Heard the learned Counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents 1 and 2 and the learned Counsel appearing for the third respondent. 5. Considering the above said facts and circumstances, the second respondent is directed to consider the claim of the petitioner and send the proposal to the first respondent through the second respondent within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. On receipt of such proposal from the third respondent, the respondents 1 and 2 shall consider the claim of the petitioner and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of four weeks thereafter. Accordingly, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
