Judgment 1. Mr. M. Rajarajan, learned Government Advocate takes notice for the respondents and by consent of both the parties, the main writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission. 2. Heard the learned Counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents. 3. The petitioner seeks for a Writ of Mandamus to direct the respondents 1 and 2 herein to consider and pass final orders on the representations of the petitioner dated 29.01.2015, through which the petitioner has sought for terminal benefits and pension. 4. It is seen that the petitioner who was working as Bill Collector, has retired from service on 31.12.1995. It is further seen that his terminal benefits were not disbursed so far and in fact, he was ill, during which time his wife has made the representations on 12.06.2014 and 07.10.2014, addressing the respondents 5 and 6, seeking disbursement of the retirement benefits. As those representations were not considered so far, the petitioner sent a recent representation on 29.01.2015. 5. Considering the above said facts and circumstances and considering the fact that the petitioner has retired as early as on 31.12.1995, and that the retirement benefits are yet to be disbursed to the petitioner, the sixth respondent who is said to be the competent authority, is directed to consider the representation of the petitioner, dated 29.01.2015 along with the representations sent by his wife dated 12.06.2014 and 07.10.2014, and pass suitable orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 6. With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
