Judgment 1. Mr.J.Gunaseelan Muthiah, learned Government Advocate takes notice for the respondent and by consent of both the parties, the main writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission. 2. Heard the learned Counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondent. 3. In this writ petition, the petitioner is seeking for a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondent to issue the Gratuity and other all monetary benefits in favour of the petitioner pursuant to the death of his wife K.Lakshmi dated 27.12.2011. 4. According to the petitioner, the petitioner's wife was temporarily appointed as a Sanitary Worker and thereafter, she was permanently appointed through proceedings dated 19.04.2001. It is stated that she died on 27.12.2011, due to illness while she was in service. After the death of his wife, the benefits due to her, in pursuant to the death of the employee has not been disbursed to the petitioner. Therefore, he made a representation on 03.12.2014, seeking for such disbursement, as the said application has not been considered so far. Hence, the petitioner is before this Court. 5. Considering the above said facts and circumstances, the respondent is directed to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 03.12.2014 and pass suitable orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
