Judgment 1. Mr.K.P.Krishnadoss, learned Government Advocate takes notice for the respondents and by consent of both the parties, the main writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission. 2. Heard the learned Counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents. 3. In this writ petition, the petitioner is seeking for a Writ of Mandamus directing the second respondent to conclude the disciplinary proceedings initiated against him in pursuant to the charge memo dated 24.09.2014. 4. The grievance of the petitioner is that because of the pendency of the disciplinary proceedings, he is not able to get his promotion as the crucial date for his next promotion falls on 15.08.2015. 5. Considering the fact that the charge memo was issued to the petitioner on 24.09.2014, and considering the submissions made by the learned Government Advocate that already an Enquiry Officer was appointed in this case, the respondents are directed to complete the disciplinary proceedings, and pass final orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of four months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
