JUDGMENT K. RAVICHANDRABAABU, J. 1. Heard the learned Counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondent. 2. In this writ petition, the petitioner is seeking for a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondent to give job opportunity on priority in the Tamil Nadu Government Department under the Special Category of Legal Heirs of Freedom Fighter. 3. According to the petitioner his grandfather namely P. Ramasamy, was a freedom fighter and he was also issued "Thamira Pattayam" from the Government of Tamil Nadu. It is his further case, that he is entitled to get a job opportunity under the special category being the legal heir of the freedom fighter. 4. Whether such request of the petitioner is legally sustainable or not is for the respondent to consider and decide and therefore, this Court is not expressing any view, as of now, on the claim made by the petitioner. However, as he has made a representation dated 02.08.2014, the same shall be considered by the respondent, and appropriate orders shall be passed on merits and in accordance with law within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
