JUDGMENT K. RAVICHANDRABAABU, J. 1. By consent of both the parties, the main writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission. 2. In this writ petition the petitioner is seeking for a Writ of Mandamus directing respondents 1 and 2 to consider the representation dated 06.11.2014, to give notional promotion to the petitioner from Forest Guard to Forester from the date on which his junior was promoted and consequently direct them to pay arrears of salary and other monetary benefits to the petitioner. 3. Heard the learned Counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents. 4. Whether the petitioner is entitled to get such notional promotion or not is to be decided only by the competent authorities namely the respondents 1 and 2 and therefore this Court is not expressing any view on the merits and the claim made by the petitioner. Since the petitioner has already made a representation seeking for such notional promotion, this Court only directs the first respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 06.11.2014 and pass suitable orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 5. Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
