D.Y.CHANDRACHUD, YASHWANT VARMA

body2016
JUDGMENT The petitioners seek an inquiry in respect of the recognition which has been granted to the fourth respondent which is an educational institution. All that has been stated about the track record, bona fides and credentials of the petitioners is that the petitioners are "law abiding and social persons of the locality". We see no reason to entertain a public interest litigation since there is no element of public interest involved in the matter. The petitioners have also not made due disclosure as required by sub-rule (3A) of Rule 1 of Chapter XXII of the Allahabad High Court Rules, 1952 which was inserted in view of the judgment of the Supreme Court in State of Uttaranchal Vs Balwant Singh Chaufal & Ors 2010 AIR SCW 1029. Hence, we decline to entertain the petition since we are not satisfied in regard to the bona fides and credentials of the petitioners. The petition is, accordingly, dismissed. There shall be no order as to costs.
