ORDER : 1. This petition has been filed to direct the 2nd respondent police to register a case based on the petitioner's complaint in C.S.R. No.48 of 2016 dated 10.01.2016 pending on the file of the 2nd respondent police. 2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the State. 3. On a complaint lodged by this petitioner, a petition enquiry is pending in CSR No.48 of 2016 against one Arjunan and Arun Doss. It is the allegation of the petitioner that the said Arjunan and Arun Doss had abused the petitioner in front of her house on 10.01.2016. While so, on the complaint lodged by Arujunan on 01.02.2016, an FIR has been registered in Crime No.341 of 2016 for offences under Sections 147, 148, 448, 324, 427 and 506(ii) IPC against Muthuramalingam and others and the said Muthuramalingam is the husband of this petitioner. 4. Under such circumstances, the 2nd respondent is directed to expedite the enquiry in CSR No.48 of 2016 and complete the same within a period of one month from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The petitioner shall co-operate for the enquiry. During the course of enquiry, if any cognizable offence is made out, the respondent police shall take action in accordance with the law laid down by the Hon'ble Apex Court in Lalitha Kumari vs. Govt. of U.P. & others, 2013 (4) Crimes 243 (SC). With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
