ORDER : On a perusal of the Office Report, we find that after the order was passed on 27th July, 2016, the States of Tamil Nadu, Gujarat, Rajasthan, Tripura, Union Territory of Andaman & Nicobar and NCT of Delhi, have filed the status report. Be it noted, previously, the States of Mizoram, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh, Jharkhand and Bihar and Union Territory of Chandigarh had filed their respective status reports. That apart, the University Grants Commission has also filed its status report. The other States who have been left out shall file their respective status reports within six weeks hence. 2. Learned counsel for the States and the Union Territory, who have filed the status report, shall serve a copy thereof on the learned counsel for the petitioner. 3. Learned counsel appearing for the States of Himachal Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Haryana, Jammu & Kashmir, Odisha, Karnataka, Kerala, Uttarakhand and other left out States shall file the status report within the time stipulated herein-above. If they have already filed the status report in the meantime, they shall serve a copy of the same on the learned counsel for the petitioner. 4. Let the matter be listed on 16th November, 2016.
