JUDGMENT : DEEPAK SIBAL, J. Through the present petition, the petitioner, who serves the Haryana Power Generation Corporation Limited (hereinafter referred to as – the Corporation) as a Safai Karamchari, seeks regularization of his services w.e.f. 31.03.1993 instead of 09.02.2000. After hearing counsel for the petitioner and perusal of the record of the case, the uncontroverted position that emerges is that the petitioner's services were regularized on 09.02.2000 with prospective effect. After nearly 16 years, i.e. on 07.01.2016, the petitioner, through a legal notice sent to the respondent Corporation, sought regularization of his services w.e.f.. 31.03.1993 instead of 09.02.2000. The delay of 16 years in raising the protest has nowhere been explained in the present petition and in the absence thereof, the present petition, being grossly belated, is to be rejected on the ground of delay alone. Dismissed. No costs.
