ORDER : The prayer in the Writ Petition is for a Mandamus to direct the first respondent to enter the petitioner's name as owner in the revenue records in respect of the lands in Survey No.139/3 and 139/4 measuring 1.33.5 hecters and 0.57.0 hecters respectively of Kurippankulam village, Thiruchendur Taluk, Thoothukudi District, by considering the appeal filed by the petitioner. 2. Today when the matter is taken up for hearing, a counter has been filed by the first respondent. In the counter it is stated in paragraph 3' as follows:- "Further, I submit that I agreed the patta No.1563, Kurippankulam Village stands in the name of the writ petition, Indira Gandhi but only in the 'A' Register of the Village, the above Survey Numbers were deleted and were brought to the Government Poramboke land during the updation of 'A' Register, since the lands were registered as "Surplus Lands" in the 'A' Register. I agreed and correct the error in the computerised 'A' Register within 6 weeks from the date of the orders of the Honourable Court. As this correction has to be approved in the office of the Commissioner of Survey and Settlement, Chennai". From the above, it is made clear that the first respondent is agreed to correct the error in the computer records. 3. Recording the statement in the counter, the writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the first respondent to rectify the error in the computerised 'A' Register within a period of three weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
