ORDER : 1. Crl.O.P.(MD) No.3537 of 2016 has been filed to direct the 1 to 4th respondent police to provide adequate police protection to the petitioner's life and limb against the serious and sustained threat caused by the accused persons on the basis of the petitioner's representation dated 09.02.2016. 2. W.P.(MD) No.5260 of 2016 has been filed to direct the respondents 1 to 3 not to interfere in civil dispute and not to harass the petitioner. 3. Without going into the details of the contentions raised in both these petitions, it would suffice to note that Murugesan and Periasamy have arrived at an amicable settlement among themselves and they have also filed a joint memo of compromise dated 21.03.2016. In addition, one Gowthamraj, who is said to be the partner of Periasamy has also filed an affidavit in W.P.(MD) No.5260 of 2016, wherein in Paragraph Nos.3 & 4, it he has stated as follows: “3. I have perused the terms of compromise dated 21.03.16 filed in the above Writ Petition and the terms of settlement dated 22.03.16 filed in RCOP No.3 of 2015 pending on the file of Hon'ble Rent Controller (Principal District Munsif), Karur and the same was read over and explained to me in Tamil. I fully endorse and agree to the said terms. 4. I further agree and undertake that I will not do any act in whatsoever manner preventing the Petitioner / landlords from taking possession of the said shop premises from the 4th Respondent as per the terms of settlement dated 21.03.16 filed in WP(MD) No.5260 of 2016 on the file of this Hon'ble Court and settlement dated 22.03.16 filed in RCOP No.3 of 2015 on the file of Rent Controller of Karur.” 4. Recording the joint compromise memo dated 21.03.2016 and the affidavit filed by Gowthamraj, both these petitions are closed. The joint memo of compromise dated 21.03.2016 shall form part of this common order. No costs.
