ORDER : 1. This contempt petition has been filed for punishing the respondents for their deliberate and willful disobedience of the order of this Court made in Crl.O.P.(MD).No.5847 of 2006 dated 24.08.2006. 2. In Crl.O.P.(MD).No.5847 of 2006, this Court passed the following order on 24.08.2006: “The Principal District Judge, Pudukottai is directed to entrust the investigation in R.No.509/2001 on his file to the Superintendent of Police, Pudukottai who shall nominate a Deputy Superintendent of Police under his control for investigation of this case.” 3. The Principal District Judge, Pudukottai has sent a report dated 26.10.2015, which is as follows: “I submit that as per the directions of the Hon'ble High Court 1st cited inthe reference, the entire case records were sent to Superintendent of Police, Pudukkottai to entrust the matter to any of the Deputy Superintendent of Police in Pudukkottai District for further investigation. The Superintendent of Police, Pudukkottai has issued proceedings in the Crl.No.27878/2006, dated 9.10.2006 entrusting the investigation to the Deputy Superintendent of Police, Pudukkottai. On the basis of said proceedings the Deputy Superintendent of Police, Pudukkottai had reinvestigated the matter and submit the records to the District Munsif cum Judicial Magistrate, Keeranur on 20.1.2007.” 4. The Inspector of Police, Keeranur Police Station has filed a counter, wherein in Paragraph No.2, he has stated as under: “I humbly submit up on a complaint given by the petitioner herein a case has been registered in Keeranur Police Station Cr.No.34/2007 under section 294(b), 323, 447, 448, 420, 506(i) and 379 of Indian Penal Code on 12.02.2007. The complaint was given by the petitioner Nammalvar 9 days delay after the alleged occurrence against Ramaraj and Jeyavel as accused persons. After the due investigation then investigation officer, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Pudukkottai sub division final report has been filed under sections 294(b), 323, 448, 420, 506(i), 307, 457, 380 and 414 of Indian Penal Code as against Ramaraj, Jeyavel, Durai @ Durairaj, Siva @ Sivaraj, Kattayan, Sivalingam and Padmini as per the order of Hon'ble High Court of Madras at Madurai Bench in Crl.O.P.(MD)No.5847 of 2006 dated 24.08.2006. This case is pending trial for further proceedings before the Assistant Sessions Court, Pudukkottai in S.C.no.88 of 2009. No property and documents were recovered hence the same are not remanded along with final report.” 5.

Thus, it is seen that the order dated 24.08.2006 made in Crl.O.P(MD).No.5847 of 2006 has been duly complied with in letter and spirit by the Principal District Judge, Pudukottai and the respondents herein. 6. In view of the above, this Court is of the view that nothing survives for further adjudication in this Contempt Petition. Hence, the Contempt Petition is closed. No costs.
