ORDER : This petition has been filed to direct the respondents to file a final report in Crime No.30 of 2014 in Tuticorin Railway Police Station within the time limit stipulated by this Honoruable Court. 2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the State. 3. Today, the respondent police have filed a status report, wherein in Paragraph Nos.6 to 10, it is stated as follows: “6. I humbly submit that the then Inspector of Police enquired the Coolies, Porters, Auto Drivers who were in the Sathur, Kovilpatti Railway Stations and also obtained the old criminals list from the Railway Crime Record Bureau and enquired about them. 7. I humbly submit that in this juncture, the Inspector of Police Thiru. Arul Prakash was transferred and one Thiru. Paulraj was posted as Inspector of Police, Railway Circle, Tirunelveli and he took the investigation of this case. And he enquired one Murugan and Inbaraj who were involved in the criminal case in Cr.No.75/2014 U/s.379 and in Cr.No.117/2015 U/s.379 IPC respectively and subsequently the Inspector of Police, Paulraj transferred and one Thiru. Muthukumar, Inspector of Police was posted as Inspector of Police, Railway Circle, Tirunelveli and he took the investigation of this case. 8. I humbly submit that on 23.01.2016, as per the orders of the Superintendent of Police, Railways, Trichy a special team was formed with the head of Sub Inspector of Police, Thiru. Gurunathan, Head Constables Thiru. Annadurai, Thiru. Sakthivel, Police Constables Thiru. Karpagaraj and Yesudasan and special team took all the necessary steps to secure the culprits. 9. I humbly submit that after transfer of the Inspector of Police, Thiru. Muthukumar, I was posted as Inspector of Police, Railway Circle, Tirunelveli on 10.02.2016 and taken the investigation of this case and along with crime team I went to Maniyatchi, Kovilpatti, Oddanatham, Sathur, and enquired about the old criminals. 10. I humbly submit that further the averment made by the petitioner herein in his affidavit that the respondent police did not followed Internet Dongle No.9962512241 is not accepted. The respondent police already sent the requisition to the mobile service provider and also obtained the IMIE (Modem Number) 862928021563110 but nobody used that number, even though the respondent still watching the particular number.

Further the petitioner herein stated that last 1 ½ years i.e., after lodging the complaint the respondent police is not enquired, is not accepted and denied strongly. The then Inspector of Police, Thiru Muthukumar enquired the petitioner herein in person on 30.01.2016 at Madurai.” 4. In view of the above, this Court directs the 2nd respondent to expeditiously conduct the investigation in Crime No.30 of 2014 and file a final report. With the above direction, this petition is disposed of.
