JUDGMENT The petitioners have sought the following relief in a public interest litigation: “(i) Issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of Mandamus commanding and directing the Respondents no.1 to 5 to take appropriate action against the illegal appointment of respondent no.6 on the post of ad-hoc Principal to ad-hoc Lecturer in Chaudhary Rajeshwar Singh Kisan Inter College, Faridpur, Bareilly in the larger interest of student of the institution.” 2. The only declaration made in the petition is that the petitioner no. 1 is an RTI activist and a social worker. The second petitioner is the seniormost LT Grade teacher in the institution. Hence, it is clear that the petition is not in public interest but a proceeding to espouse the interest of the second petitioner. Hence, we decline to entertain the petition but leave it open to the person aggrieved to take recourse to the remedies available in law. 3. The petition is accordingly dismissed. There shall be no order as to costs.
